Bow ties on the road: A very vintage wedding event at Dunwood Hall
We were so excited to pack up our handmade bow ties, and go exploring at Dunwood Hall's Wedding Event With a Difference last weekend. We had heard that the venue was a striking victorian building - we were not disappointed!
After swooning over an overwhelming amount of beautiful period features, we set up in The Orangery, and got to chat to many excited soon to be Mr and Mrs'! Vintage weddings were naturally the winning theme of the day, and our Liberty of London bow ties were definitely a favourite, as was the soon to be released Liberty necktie.
The event itself had a sumptuously elegant, vintage glamour feel, and our vintage loving couples had every element of their day catered for! Brides admired stunning gowns from Sarah Willard Couture and Baroque Couture, worn on beautiful models styled by Caro Millington (shots of the models in action will be up soon) and accessorised with Judith Brown Jewellery's lovely delicate pieces.
Grooms wore suits to hire from Chaplins Menswear, and were accessorised by us of course!
Guests were treated to canope's and fizz on arrival, before attending a highly personalised sample ceremony by J. Hobbs independant Civil Celebrant. Steve of Bridgewood Wedding Photography captured all of the antics with his unfaltering eye for detail, and fantastic quirky style. We'll be posting more shots from the day, including the mini wedding shoot he did soon!
The wedding breakfast room was expertly styled by venue perfection, with lovely finishing touches by Emma Williams Flowers, Inspired by Lisa Stationary, and Tickety Boo Cakes.
AKA discos kept us feeling lively, and Blue Pumpkin VW Hire had us all envious of their ride - what a vehicle!
We had a great day meeting couples and suppliers, falling in love with Dunwood Hall, and admiring the many angelic dress models floating about! Thanks everyone for a charming wedding event with a difference!
